Same tune, third verse

Kentucky will once again be loaded next season, incredibly inking 4 of the nation’s top 25 prospects. The only question will be who will be playing alongside another fabulous freshman class. Terance Jones is almost certainly gone as a lottery pick in the NBA draft (see my previous post. This kid is NOT ready to play in the league). Brandon Knight is on the fringe draftwise, but is on track to graduate in 2.5 years. He could return for another season and have his degree nearly completed. Somehow, Deandre Liggins name has crept into the conversation about early departures. The UK junior was much improved this season, but his ball skills and perimeter shooting still need work. The wild card, of course, is the looming NBA lockout. If UK were to return all of the above, turn back the clock to 1996. No squad would be able to match UK’s depth.

It should make for an entertaining off-season. Check out Rivals analysis of UK’s incoming class.

Update: KSR does the homework. No surprise
